3 Simple Steps to Clean your Microwave with nothing but ONE Rag!

It only takes one plate of your favorite food to get your microwave dirty! Let’s get it sparkling again!

How to steam clean a very dirty microwave in 3 easy steps!

Microwaves can be a real pain to clean, especially after weeks, if not months of food buildup! We’ll show you how to get it clean in just minutes, with nothing but a single rag! Let’s get right into it!

Step 1: Soak a rag in water and microwave it!

Grab a fresh and clean dishcloth or rag. Soak it in water. Place it into the microwave onto the spinning plate and set your microwave to 1 minute. This will heat the rag up, causing steam to fill up your microwave. This will help break down any dried food stuck to the walls and make it easy to wipe off. Just be sure not to burn yourself when you grab the rag out of the microwave. It’s going to be hot, so beware!

Step 2: Use the same rag to scrub!

Being careful not to burn yourself, use the same rag to start scrubbing the inside of microwave, starting with the ceiling and working your way down each side and eventually the bottom of the microwave. We recommend taking the microwave plate out and washing it in the sink.

Make sure to rinse the rag every once in a while to make sure you’re not just spreading food around. You can also use a natural cleaning spray to help get some gunk off.

Repeat!

If there are some tough areas that still won’t scrub off, simply repeat Step 1 and scrub it again! Trust us, it will work!

Step 3: Wipe clean!

Now that you’ve scrubbed the dried food and grease off of your microwave, wash the rag in the sink and make sure to rinse out any leftover soap. Then, squeeze as much water out of the rag as you can and give the microwave a final wipe down! If you’d like, you can grab another clean and dry rag to make sure it’s completely dry and sparkling!

Bonus Step: Keep it clean!

You don’t have to do this very often, but it will make your life a hundred times easier if you use these simple steps just once a week. This way, you won’t get a ton of build-up that is quite a bit harder to remove. Better yet, we recommend giving your microwave a quick wipe down every time something gets spilled.

Done!

There you have it! You’ve just learned how to clean your dirty microwave with nothing but a rag! If this article helped you out, please share it with your friends on Facebook! We would greatly appreciate it!
